THE PATRON'S DAY


     Tadeusz Kościuszko was born in 1746 in Mereczowszczyzna, Podlasie. In 1755 he began his studies in Kolegium Pijarów inLubieszów. In December 1765 he started to attend the Knight's School. Already then, he was better than other students. He stayed in the Knight's School as an instruktor. He graduated from the school with the rank of a captain. In Paris he studied at the Academy of Painting and Sculpture. He was a leader in the Kosciuszko Uprising. During the battle, Kościuszko got into Russian captivity, after regaining his freedom, left for a short time to the United States, then returned to Europe. He died on October 15th, 1817 in Switzerland. A year later, the remains of the hero were transported to Cracow and rested in the Wawel Cathedral.


Thanks to the classes 4a i 4b, together with Ms. Brudny and Mrs. Biesok, we celebrated the memory of this famous man.
