ANDRZEJKI - ST. ANDREW'S DAY

Saint Andrew's Day is the feast day of Saint Andrew. In Poland it is celebrated on 30th November.

Last week there was a traditional Andrzejki Party in our school. We all had a chance to meet a few mysterious fortune tellers who uncovered some facts about our future life. Hmmmm.... we will see.....

I was told I would become a dancer, what about you????

Then we had some fun to the rythm of the most famous music hits:

NATIVE SPEAKER FROM AUSTRALIA

On the 24th November students from grades 2b, 3b (junior high school) and 7b took part in an English class with a native speaker – Mrs Iwona Ustupska-Hartwich from Australia.

On our first meeting in October the students learnt some interesting facts about Ausrtalia, for example why Canberra is the capital city, which unusual animals live on that continent and a few facts from Australian history.

This time the students got involved into language games called Stranded Island, Guess who and My diary and plans.  

24 listopada już po raz drugi uczniowie z klas 3b i 2b gimnazjum oraz 7b przyjemność brać udział w zajęciach prowadzonych przez native speakera - panią Iwonę Ustupską-Hartwich z Australii.

Na pierwszych zajęciach dowiedzieli się wielu ciekawych rzeczy o Australii, np. dlaczego stolicą Australii jest Canberra, jakie nietypowe zwierzęta żyją na tym kontynencie oraz kilka faktów z historii tego kraju.

Tym razem uczniowie grali w gry językowe - Stranded island (bezludna wyspa, czyli jakie przedmioty pomogłyby nam przetrwać i dlaczego), Guess who (zgadnij, kim jestem, czyli opisywanie wyglądu zewnętrznego), My diary and plans (kalendarz i plany, czyli podawanie informacji o czynnościach rutynowych oraz planach na poszczególne dni).

...tak rzekło mi moje tajemnicze ciasteczko, a Wam?

AKCJA CHARYTATYWNA DLA BEZDOMNYCH ZWIERZĄT - DZIĘKUJEMY!!!

Schronisko kojarzy nam się głównie z wycieczką w góry, z miejscem, gdzie dajemy odpocząć zmęczonym wędrówką nogom i ładujemy wewnętrzne baterie na kolejne kilometry. Niestety, słowo  schronisko ma również inny, trochę smutniejszy wymiar, ponieważ tak nazywamy również miejsce, w którym mieszkają bezdomne zwierzęta. ...tak, nie wszystkie mają ciepłe domy, kochających je właścicieli i miękkie posłanie do spania. Mimo, że w schronisku mają opiekę, to jednak nie jest to dom, którego pragną. Najtrudniejszym okresem do przetrwania jest zima, kiedy na dworze hula śnieg, a temperatury spadają poniżej zera. Wtedy właśnie potrzebna im nasza pomoc najbardziej. Możemy przygarnąć do siebie psa i kota lub podarować im artykuły, które pozwolą łatwiej przeżyć zimę. Wiem, że temat nie jest Wam obcy, a Wasze serca gorące, ponieważ bardzo licznie wzięliście udział w akcji i nie żałowaliście zwierzętom koców i karmy. BRAWO! W imieniu organizatorów, kotełów i piesełów - Dziękujemy!

Niedaleko Jasienicy znajdują się dwa schroniska dla bezdomnych zwierząt:

- Schronisko "Reksio" w Bielsku-Białej,

- Schronisko "Azyl" w Cieszynie.

MY BEDROOM (part4)

A snowy bedroom for a winter time :) ...for a warm winter time, of course ;). I love it.

This is my bedroom. It's small. There is a bed in front of the window. There's my cat's scratching post. There's a desk next to the scratching post. There's a big window over the desk. My computer is on the desk. There are two shelves next to the desk. 

There is a big wardrobe next to the cat's cuvette. On the wardrobe there are five posters and a calendar. There's a table in front of the door. There are two armchairs next to the table. There are two carpets on the floor. 

My bedroom is very nice!

MY BEDROOM (part 3)

Here we have another fabulous bedroom. It's perfect for a young and happy lady. Check it out:

My bedroom is very big. It's cool! My walls are blue and white with green flowers. Blue is my favourite colour. There is one poster with monsters. I like monsters. My bed is next to the desk. On the desk there are a bedside lamp and my books. In front of my desk there is a chair. Next to the  desk there is the door. 

There is also my wardrobe. On the floor there is a colorful carpet. There is also a football table. It's brilliant! Next to the football table there is a balcony and a big palm tree. There is another desk. There are stone walls. My bedroom is very big because I have a lot of friends.
